Over 2 years! since the 1st San Diego GreenDrinks at Thrusters in PB, Jan. 20, 2005
It's unbelieveable how much fun and good times we've had so far. It's the magic and power of great people, a few emails, great places and the willingness of San Diego's Green Drinkers to go the extra mile in search of a good drink and good people. It's really been my honor so far to meet everyone and to watch all of the great people who have come to our events get together and meet others who care and who like to enjoy themselves over a frosty cool one.
Since we've grown and had such a good time, Ive deceided to add this blog to allow you all to continue the community that you have grown. I'd like your suggestions, comments, ideas, and even criticisms if you dare.
My goal is now to actually GREEN GreenDrinks a bit. Carpooling, Organic, less waste; these are things we talk about, and that's a great start, but I'd lke to put them into action. Post your suggestions, from great green venues, to bringing your own glass to ???. I want to hear them, and we all need to hear them so that we actually do something more than create carbon with our hot air about how "green" we all are.
Again, thanks a ton for coming, now it's your turn.
JohnMy first suggestion was to have everyone try out www.goloco.org for the next event to test out their new carpooling service. Check it out, help build the number of trips posted there.

I am gonna hammer this subject until it works. I'm driving from Cardiff to Stone BRewery Greendrinks at around 5:30 PM. Anybody care to join me?

Um... it doesn't look like anyone really uses this but I saw the link on the Green Drinks post...anyway, I'd love to carpool to the 07/16 event especially since I live in San Marcos off Rancho Santa Fe/San Elijo Road.
